Visit SAORINOMORI

—The Source of SAORI—

SAORINOMORI in Izumi is home to the main SAORI studio and is located in the region where Misao Jo and her close collaborators first began the SAORI movement. It also serves as the production site for all SAORI looms, yarns, and accessories, and remains the source of SAORI—a central place for creativity, community, and the continuing philosophy and practice of SAORI.

In 2004, the 35th year since Misao Jo founded SAORI, SAORINOMORI was built as the dedicated home of SAORI. Here, visitors may meet members of the founders’ family and others who have carried SAORI’s history forward for many years.

As the headquarters of Sakaiseikisangyo Co., Ltd. and home to SAORI Global LLC, SAORINOMORI stands as the origin and ongoing base for SAORI in and beyond Japan.

SAORI Global—the SAORI company responsible for international operations—is based here and hosts multi-day SAORI retreats and one-day classes, offering inspiration and resources in collaboration with Sakaiseikisangyo Co., Ltd.

At SAORINOMORI, we provide a welcoming and cozy environment for SAORI practice, the most abundant inventory of SAORI products, and the most comprehensive bilingual (Japanese–English) support for international visitors among all SAORI studio locations in Japan.
