HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN SAORI GLOBAL FORUM

*You need to log in before you post a new thread or reply to someone's message

    1. Select a forum which matches the theme of the thread you would like to post.
    2. Click the name of the forum.
    3. Click "New Thread".
    4. Write your comments.
    5. If you would like to attach a photo image, click "Insert Image" button.
    6. Click "Add file".
    7. Select the image file to be uploaded, give a name and description to the image, and click "upload".
    8. Your image has been uploaded into the PublicForumImage and people can view your photo image.
    9. Click "Update" and post your thread into the forum.

Dear Everyone, welcome to SAORI GLOBAL.COM. My name is Akiko Jo, and I am a member of SAORI Leaders' Committee in Japan, and helping Misao Jo and Kenzo Jo (Misao Jo's son) at SAORI-NO-MORI, the SAORI studio and loom manufacturing site located in Izumi-city, Osaka Japan. I am the website administrator of SAORI GLOBAL.COM, and very honored to launch this SAORI GLOBAL.COM though I am still in the midst of construction of this website. I hope I can finish this in near future with cooperated by other SAORI friends all over the world. Sincerely hope this website can become a help for all SAORI friends to share ideas and to "Learn from everyone in the group", as it is said in the SAORI 4 slogans. Thank you for the invitation to join the Saori Global Forum Akiko-san.

Just a few words to introduce myself....my name is Terri Bibby and I live on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia, Canada (an island between Vancouver & Victoria). I was a traditional weaver for many years and then in 2005 I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Kim Cowley-Adam and be introduced to Saori weaving - it has changed my life!

I now have a small weaving studio here on the island and have met many other Saori weavers – through the Canada-USA Saori conference and also on a fabulous Saori tour of Japan. What a delight!

I have been able to share Saori weaving with others through workshops, classes and retreats at my studio, through Community Peace Weaving projects, at Fibre Festivals and just recently with our weavers guild and at a conference at the University of Victoria.

I look forward to sharing in this forum and my continued Saori adventures.
